I count among my blessings the beautiful birds that visit the feeder outside my window. This gorgeous (red bellied) woodpecker is a fine example. BTW this was shot through the window glass.

Very nice! We have a downy woodpecker that comes for suet once in a while, but I've never managed to get a good shot of him or her.
 
That red splash on woody's crown complements the muted pastel shades of the picture as a whole. I also like the letterbox format. I know many people who might argue that an upright format would work better, but that space all around adds to a sense of calm. Lovely shot.
