I don't know why I didn't take one of my room in the hotel Sovietskaya (sp?) in Leningrad. (1975) Overall it had a built-in Ikea look. But the bed was amazing. More like a crib, with a monster pillow -- that I just sank into. I almost didn't need the heat on -- in January! No TV or fridge, but it did have a radio and phone that looked like a Ericsson design. Oh yeah, and the exit stairs were freaking locked!!
On the otherhand, the late, unlamented Rossiya in Moscow had beds more like these.
