A strange area at the start of Tioga Pass Road within sight of Mono Lake. Left the brush and trees black with some subtle gradations in the snow and shadows. Has a just slightly warm color in person.

Surely wouldn't make the same photo today but I'm having fun going back through some older work and reprinting.
