Vállegårsså, a valley just outside Sarek N.P. in North West Sweden, 21 August 2008.

The sun has broken through the clouds and gives the sides of the valley some texture.

Thanks Martin. Actually this part of the National Park looks a bit like how I imagine the more rugged British mountains to be- rough, bare, eroded. I've never been hiking in Britain, I should one day.
 
Its a wonderful picture, and I agree with tony lockerbie, the grain adds much to the mood.

The shot looks similar to the English Pennine Fells

The Scotish Moutains can be very rugged, bare and erroded.

The hikking in England, Wales and particularly Scotland can be terrific - you should come and find out :smile: - but watch the weight of your camera equipment, it seems to grow heavier the further you walk :sad:

The thing that has kept me from going hiking in the UK is that the mountains would be too crowded. That doesn't make sense does it?

You're right about the weight. The Contax G1 with three lenses is still quite light though, and the results make it all worth the toil.

I love grain, especially that of Neopan 400 in Rodinal, it's pleasantly present and unobtrusive at the same time. It helps a lot in this picture too, yes, I agree.
