Hutong Street, Beijing (2009)

One from this August's trip to China. The hutong streets were almost monochrome - slate grey, dull concrete, drab brown.
Then, rounding a corner, I see this child on a bright yellow scooter, in a yellow outfit. It would have been unthinkable NOT to take the photo.

Indeed. Lovely photograph, captures well the feeling of chinese backstreets, great use of the panoramic format
 
Yes, nice scene you captured, I didn't know the XPan could give panoramas this wide.
 
The more I use the Xpan, the more I like it. Marco, it can give both a 24mm x 58mm image (such as this) or switch midroll to regular 24mm x 36mm format. The nice thing is it can do that anytime at the flick of a switch...very well designed camera.
