A Nice Crust...

Pretty and tasty! From my latest project, decorating our kitchen with pictures (to cover up the bad job we did with painting it six years ago...).

First the bread is not sharp at the back.
Second i wonder why would you tone a bread which is displayed as a bread?
I am not able to see the structure of the bread and the contrast is very low.

So I am wondering what you mean with this picture?
I would not buy it when it looked like this in the shop.
Maybe a more abstract pic of the bread would create an more interesting picture, but than it's no longer food on the wall, but art.

Sorry for the negative comment,
but i get frustrated when people leave "great,"i love it" etc... which will not help the maker.

I don't intend to hijack this image, but there are preconceptions in your comment about what minimal factors are required to make this a great photo..."the bread isn't sharp at the back" should certainly not be one of them!

Personally I think the strength of the image lies in the illusion of colour, since the toning makes the bread look it's more natural colour. It does not do much for me as an image, but mainly because the subject matter is not for me.

I also note the OP is using this for his Kitchen...so the only thing that really matters is that he likes it :D

I think if you read the description of the picture first it makes complete sense. Furthermore it is toned wonderfully, has great contrast and is sharp. It will make for a nice series.

I think that you might discover that "sarahfoto" is female.

Well, Willie, I think the world would be a very boring place if everyone did it by the same book.
I find it liberating to explore the possibilities of photography and if you look at my other pictures you will soon find that most of them have little irregularities and imperfections, by some peoples standards.
But don't look at the comments I've made in the past! You might might find them extremely frustrating...

Thank you for the cheerful comments!
