This is the first experiment shooting with a Holga in the studio. The negs are a bit thin but still very much printable. It was a very unusual feeling shooting a crap camera with a Pocket Wizard attached to it. I could buy about five Holgas for the cost of a single Pocket Wizard.

I received my pimped out Holga in the mail yesterday and am anxious to shoot with it. A bulb shutter, cable release and tripod mount. I'm also anxious to get into the darkroom and print a few of these.

For those interested this is a negative scan with very little Photoshop work. A bit of dust clean up, contrast adjustment and a slight warm tone. I try to get the neg scans as close as possible to what I would print in the darkroom.

For the film techno geeks, it's Ilford Delta 400 processed in Pyrocat HD.

Fantastic image. Looking forward to more.I felt much the same way using a Sekonic 558 with mine:smile:
I just posted a 44" inch holga print. Plenty of detail even at that size.

I'm not a fan of women nudes, but I do like this very much.
 
It would scare the heck out of me to shoot the figure with a Holga! This proves me gutless I think. nice job.

Mike I think when they find them they aren't naked.:D That is when the real work begins.

and you posting again!
holgas as cheap as it may be
gives the feel of a 400$ brass lens from the 1800s.
( sorry, not much of a critique ...)

I feel that the Holga gives it just a slight softening effect and makes the image calming. the lighting is outstanding and the pose is great. even though you say it is thin, I find that sometimes with pyrocat you can get away with thinner negatives than you can with other developers.

I tend to ignore what device is used to take a photo or what printing method is used to display it. What matters to me is whether it appeals to me/says something, and this one does. Well composed and lit. Are there more?
