thanks for the feedback -- spent the whole day printing platinum versions of these and other pinhole negs ..... i discovered it's much different than printing a regular neg that has even tonality across the frame -- with these i had to forget about the tones at the edge, let them do whatever the neg's exposure req'd, and instead aim for the right contrast ratio that retained details in the brighter centers .... it seems that with pinhole subjects, the center is crucial, but it's the weighty edges that provide the drama and atmosphere ..... this is the first time i've experimented with pinholes, and like miles said, it is really fun and honest (with a big dose of serendipity) -- for me, it has reinvigorated the passion for photography that was beginning to ebb after years of straight large format work ..... i'd recommend it to anyone looking for a change of pace
