A beautiful photograph and great use of the square.

Perfect placement of everything! I love the tones of that barn. Did you get any close-ups?

I like the composition, but I think that the large blank sky detracts from an otherwise super image. Too bad there were not at least a few streaky clouds.

I like it.. isn't this a neg scan? If you want those nice tall trees, guess you're going to have that much sky! A bit more contrast and a slight sepia tone would make a very nice print image.

I like it also. I am new here and am just starting to get back into b/w photography. Been doing digital for a couple years, but just does not thrill me as much. So going to try and start developing my own negs again. I think the picture speaks a lot of history and character. Sure there may be a lot of sky, but if you crop any of the pic the grandeur of the trees would be lost. And is this a neg scan? Seems like from the border around. I hear that is the better way to go. I have an old Yashica 124 twin lens that was given to me from my Dad a lot of years ago. Going to get some bw film and shoot a few rolls. If I figure anything out, maybe i can post. I have been looking through this site for a couple weeks. You all have a lot to offer. Hope I can steal a little bit of knowledge from you all. Wonderful to see all the bw images.
