Portrait

Just a portrait of one of my high school students. This is the first image out of a Cooke 16" lens I just bought. I think it came out okay...
Location
An old wicker chair in the classroom at school.
Equipment Used
Century 4 8x10 on a Semi-Centenial Stand w/ a Cooke 16" f/4.5 Portrait Lens at full soft.
Exposure
Just a pop of the old Novatron flash.
Film & Developer
Ilford FP4 in HC 110
Paper & Developer
Ilford MGIV in Dektol w/ a slight sepia tone
Lens Filter
none
The soft/sharp quality of the lens gives this portrait a wonderful feeling. Very well handled!

Mark, gorgeous print tone wise and gradation, lens paints beautifully making forms in the background go into circles and lines of brush strokes... , this feels very much like your carrot work... her dilated pupils and gaze is wonderful

thank you for this this morning

Thank you all. I agree with Ilya, the Cooke Portrait lenses are something special. I'm looking forward to using it more...

And you should see the print. It's to die for...
