Great image Gareth - there is a whole debate about clean pours and that the artifacts are all part of the charm - having said that practice like made, as Kerik said you have started on a slippery slope

Cheers for the positive comments. I'm bugging Rich over facebook now for recipes to order the chemistry and try it out on my own at home. That will be the real test. I love how they're called 'artifacts' and not 'defects'
