Dude.!!!! Another great plate. I think this one is even better than the first. Question, do you use a modified film holder for your plates, or do you have one especially made for plates?
Thanks Andrew-I had a custom wet plate adaptor made for this camera (which was $100 with this amazing lens and 3 dry plate holder!) 2 years ago when I was ready to get into this stuff - then my wife told me she was with child and everything went out back to the shed. A plate holder is very nice to have but I've used converted dry plate holders and they work fine and I'll go that route with my 8x10 Korona. If I were to start all over again, I'd buy a modern replica camera made for this purpose.
looks great victor, especially for 8 mississippi.....
so are you gonna try a glass plate and then see how a lith contact looks )))
I still haven't taken the plunge but want to.
Definitely..but since I have a 5x7 enlarger I may go bigger than contact. I saw some amazing 30x40 inch prints made from 8x10 plate by Paul Taylor some years ago and that got the collodion bug started in me. Now if you haven't seen Kerik's 11x14 gum/platinum prints made from digitally enlarged wet plate negatives on Facebook, you must. Theyre incredible
