beautiful Andrew... just curious if your experience shows print color on foma 123 is heavily influenced by primary dev (Ilford mg in case) if sepia toning is done ? again strong work !
Thanks everyone. Miles, using Ilford MG dev has helped me print a whole lot easier than before. I was a diehard Agfa Neutol WA user before, but since the swap to Ilford MG dev, things have gotten easier. I feel the highlights and midtones seperate out better, and the print is much easier to get for whatever reason. As for overall print color being influenced by print dev. I'd say that Agfa Neutol WA and Ilford MG are close in that regard. The bleaching, and partial sepia/selenium tone is where the biggest factor comes in Regardless of whether it's foma 123, 131, EMaks Graded. They all go a very similar color.. With my workflow anyway.
Have looked at this several times and it is different each time: minimalistic stillness sometimes, but almost overwhelming movement at others...
The composition is great, and the light near the horizon contrasts well with the Rothko dark edge of the sea. I find the whole picture strongly emotional.
