Impressive viewpoint, and well captured!

What a dramatic setting. Looks like quite an energetic exercise to reach that vantage point, but well worth it.

All the best,
Daniel

Great photograph, and an angle that I have not seen before. Great light

Funny enough, it's pretty obvious. The point is at the foot of the Old Man. There were half a dozen people behind me enjoying their lunch and and the great vista. As I tried to get there over 25 years ago we had to stop at a crevice. We didn't dare to jump over as our footwear was inappropriate for the task. We were the only two people there and thought that if something happens nobody would find us in days. These days there is a footpath even elderly people can go and merely hundreds of people were walking up there. Times are changing.

When were you there this year?
In july. For the exact day I would have to look through my notes.

@Stoo About the angle of view: It came to my mind that this is the advantage of the square format. With 35mm I would have had to tilt the camera a little to get the rock or using portrait orientation. Not tilting the camera is essential for not loosing the impression of height.
This is not an issue with the square format in most such cases. I bet with a rectangle format camera with fixed standarts all others would have used a wider angle lens, which is not an option for me as I only have 75mm of my Rolleiflex in this kind of situations.
