Thanks Bill, for your response. This image was in danger of being the only image I ever posted in the gallery that didn't stir even one response. I guess it is generally lacking power. However it is one of my favorites. What does that say?

I agree with Bill, excellent skin tones! Very powerful and well seen, I saw this image and was reminded of Edward Weston's nudes; simple yet complex at the same time! Well done
I also like this shot for the very reasons Carl and Bill note. It is perfectly taken in terms of tones and texture. The subject also made me smile. She's not a size 0, 'perfect' shaped model (whatever that may be I guess) but there is a different open honest beauty in her (and the shot) becasue she is real. I would be interested to see how the shot would have been if she was set to the right rather than in the centre. Thanks,
Yep, really good, Portriga works well with this image. How come your Hassy has three notches? Mine only has two.....what does one have to do to earn that extra notch?
Tony, you have to get out a little file and make the notches yourself so that you can tell one back from another when you look at the work. Then if one back is screwing up you know which it is.
Dennis
Thanks for all the comments from everyone.
Strong of course -- nude black form in a white context. Her form is well-cut at the top of the frame. Leaving her shoulders and head out obviously makes for a very anonymous effect, which works nicely with her somewhat casual leaning posture. Form is well-modelled throughout. I don't know, it doesn't do much for me. Very correct, quite sterile.
