OMG, this is stunning. I know it is not straight forward but you should have a lab make a large print out of this slide.
 
Awesome...I have a friend who lives in Oman..where the "Empty Quarter" (the translation of the title of the image) runs from through Yemen and Saudi...we promised each other we would do that journey, but simply have not organised it. What an inspiration this is to pick up that phone. Well done. K
