Dude, how'd you get in there? I've been wanting to shoot that place for years. In high school we were doing a movie and we needed a prison and this one was minutes from home so we checked it out. It was still open then and they said no before I finished the question. My dad transported prisoners to and from there for work detail when he was a deputy. He'd buy them beer and let them drink them on the way back.

It has only been a few years since it closed. Amazing how fast it all starts to fall apart.

Hey Vinny. If you follow the two track around to the back there's a hole large enough to wiggle through in the fence. Just about everything is open and we happened apon some kids playin around in there. They went through the front somehow. It's a fun place to walk around with a camera! I first discovered it last year on vacation and walked around it a bit but explored it further at PStock.

Cool James, lighting looks great. Had heard of this place but don't even know exactly where it is. A place that is closed for any length of time... the kids will have a hole cut in the fence someplace. Great that you found it and I hope you blew some film documenting (?) this .

Spectacular shot James... I remember seeing this place at P/stock 2008 and could not see a way in.
