Looks like Lenin.

Norman Bethune?

Some later images have him with a similar moustache.

Definitely not Lenin. Next time when I go to this park I will look for the plaque or signature.

It's a sculpture with presence. I'd have to take a picture if I was there.

to set the record straight I found out that this is a sculpture of Robert Holmes (1861-1930) painter and member of the Canadian Academy of Arts by artist John Byers. Apparently there is a plaque on the granite but my focus was on the face, texture and light.
