Hands

This is an image of my fathers suntanned and my sons lily white hand taken last year when on hols in South Africa. Its a c41 image but printed on Ilford MG1V. This works IMO due to the lack of colour range in the original and the fact that it is printed about 2 stops darker than the original. Split grade printed. Long exposure.

Has no-one got a crit of this before I delete it? I would appreciate any comments.
 
Phil You ask for it. I remember opening this image, being excited. and thinking "what a spectacular mis-fire" The concept is great. The light and background wonderful. but I could not get past the out of focus condition and clumpy grain.
 
I agree with Thomassauerwein. My first impression also was that this photo would be spectacular if it were sharp.
