I think there's potential here. How about cropping the left side up to the post in the water?

I really like it! Don't agree with it being flat, there are lots of tones and depth.

Great image and I agree with Vinny's suggestion.
Cropping that area will place the waterfall in an optimal position at the same time will get rid of the trunk at the bottom which I find inconsequential.

This is nice, looks like chocolate flowing down the river.
