Your series on this mine led me to google it. Interesting history at this place. From what I read, mining might have started around 300BC here. In modern times, starting around 1813 and ending in the early 1900's. I find it interesting how they dug a slanted shaft extending to under the sea to the depth of hundreds of fathoms. Great viewpoint which composes well into the square format with a good 'Z' lead to the lone chimney. The overcast sky also suits this simple composition and stengthens the feel of isolation and bleakness.
