These were destroyed a few weeks after the images were made. Shot in thick fog.

Good to see the old skills and practices being recorded for posterity. A very apposite treatment of the subject - fading into the ether.
 
"These were destroyed" ??? Wasn't English Heritage or some industrial heritage committee watching over these? I can't believe that such nowadays rare structures are just taken down....

Well, at least good you managed to capture them before their demise...
 
I have been struck by the 'feel' of these images. They look like they might have been taken back when photography was just in it's infancy. Very well done!
