A follow-up shot to the more landscape oriented shot I posted a couple of days ago. This light-house was very beautiful and had a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean.
In my mind, I am still there; I can smell the salt water, I can breathe the fresh air.
For those that have not visited the Oregon / Washington coast - at some point in your life you HAVE to. An absolutely gorgeous place!
Thanks guys. Steve, I do agree with you to some extent, but I also think it depends on the subject matter more than format.
The fact that you can get grainy results like this with lith printing means you can get a more consistent look across formats. The inherent grain in the film, or lack thereof, becomes less of a dominant factor. I like that about lith. I like that a lot.
(Then, of course, less grainy images than this can be made, but that's not as interesting to me.)
Miles, Guillaume - thanks!
G - I think the MGWT really sings with the new AristaLith. The blacks are very strong, and the toning possibilities seem better than with regular chemistry.
i love this detail shot of the lighthouse that you posted earlier..the grain is awesome! as far as size is concerned, i will let you men continue your never ending battle with this issue
