You've captured a good feeling there Daniel, and its nice and sharp where it needs to be. Really nice tonality for a paper neg! (Really nice tonality for a normal neg too...)

Thanks all. The lens is a P&S Visual Quality. I can see just from the first few times working with it what all the hoopla is about- a very distinctive look. I have much to learn about its full potential.

Cody was very patient for this 16 second exposure (I told him 15 seconds), given the slow paper (rated ASA 4) and an additional yellow filter to reduce contrast.

stunning; more then a portrait. this is 'reading' in a 17th Cent. Dutch painting !(next image; he looks at us and tells us what he is reading)
