Ice and Sky

Ice and Sky

More from the Minnesota APUG trip to Lake Superior in February.

It was really neat to see the ice, the heaves, and to listen to the sounds it makes. Like a different world where you can walk on water... :)

For the record, this is a straight scan. All effects are in camera with grad and contrast filters.

Another gorgeous shot. I like the large expanse of white in the foreground.

Very good photograph, and I'm interested to see you used Edwal 12. Why so?

Nice work Thomas. Simple forms and lines. We're so used to seeing skies that are lighter than foregrounds. It's nice to see it in reverse.. maybe part of the reason this photograph is so successful. Well done!

Great one, Thomas. Very simple, but the tones are great. I need to try Edwal sometime.
