The Altar

The Altar

Since the birth of our baby, haven't had much of a chance to get out. Finally, my wife is encouraging me to get out of the house.

This is from the stream the runs down from behind the house. The snow has melted enough where I could hike up the stream. Found alot of fallen debris that wasn't there last fall.

The scan does quite match the print, my apologies.

Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

This is beautiful!! I love the dark tones of the rocks contrasting with the flow of the water. Just a gorgeous picture! Do not apologize! If the print is even better than this scan, it is truly wonderful!
Thank your wife for kicking you out of the house!

A wonderfully balanced image.

Very effective composition. I think the contrast of the dark liquid sheen on the rocks - particularly those in front, with the water, works awfully well. And needless to say, if the print is better than the scan, then it must be a very good one.

Terrific photo, your control on the exposure is to be envied.

having a newbie around the house can be inspirational .... there's evidence of that in this image ....

Very nice indeed. You exposed this perfectly. The rocks glow like obsidian.

what a treat! from composition, exposure to print you got all lined up perfectly. thanks for sharing
