just for fun...

... I developed a remaining (second) test film in diluted amidol SE20 paper developer. Not bad, although the negative showed the expected overall-amidol-yellow-stain, I could not find any disadvantage compared to the conventionally developed film. That makes me wonder if all our appreciated special-supersharp-high-definition-finegrain-pipapo developers are just a slightly potty fantasy. But because I am quite familiar with my carefully developed imagination, I would not like to believe my eyes and will act furthermore as if nothing has happened.
To cut a long story short – forget it or try it – I wash my hands of it!

Nice print - regardless of developer! I used Ansco 130 paper developer to process Foma 200 sheets, and it worked just as well as HC-110 or other developers I tried.

Love your print color and high value separation.

Super results. I know it is not quite the same scenario but I have used paper developer to develop film for alt.processes. At the moment I would not have the time to do the post processing you describe Wolfgang, as nice as the results are !
