trying my 1st ever wet plate self portrait. i was using a dark slide as my shutter.

i wish i had given it another second as it is a tad too dark....but i still like it.

old work horse collodion. sugar developer. ammonium thiosulfate fix
Paper & Developer
8x10 black aluminum
Geez, Eddie, I've spent time with you and never felt as frightened as this suggests I should have! :wink: Well done if terrifying.
 
It's great. I imagine this sort of crop (by your choice of camera/subject position) wasn't seen at the time this wetplate process was originally in use. For that reason it's facinating.

And scary actually!
