Beautiful light just envelopes this wonderful composition

Thank you for such an appreciative response. It really is great to get such positive feedback.

I moved house in August, so it took some while to re-establish my ability to process my film and inevitably, opportunities to make new images have been restricted. Over the Xmas break I managed to clear my backlog of nearly 100 sheets of E6, C41 and B+W film.

I love visiting this location, with or without a camera. It's about a 25 min walk each way and can provide wonderful time to think, or just appreciate the many great things to watch, yachts, Isle of Wight, The Needles, wildlife and the light on the Solent.

For this shot I was stressing whether the full sun would be too strong on the lighthouse and burn out the warmth. Thus I shot a couple of sheets with the sun just striking the top of the lighthouse. Unfortunately it wasn't strong enough to make the pebbles and granite of the castle glow as is the case here.
