Feed Sign, #2

Went back to shoot this sign again in 8x10and PL100 film. This time, a small tree was casting shadows over the sign. At first I thought I didn't want the shadows, but then decided to go for it anyway.

The SBR was about 5.5, so I gave N+1 development using extreme minimal agition. It printed on Nuance grade 3 (hard) with some waterbath treatment to lower contrast about 1/2 step.

i am psyched you took the photograph with the shadows!
the crackled paint and light/dark cast from the tree
work wonderfully together.

thanks!

Thanks John. I never would have even thought of taking this until I watched the shadows dancing across the sign for a while. With the wind blowing the tree, the patterns were contantly changing, in and out, back and forth.
