Boat and Shed

Taken whilst testing my new Retina Reflex III.
The other side of the boat shed shown in previous image. Also showing marsh area depicted in earlier uploads.
In the background is an almost completed wooden foot bridge. The old delapidated bridge collapsed about this time last year as can be seen in some of my earlier gallery images. I didn't think it would ever be replaced so it was a nice surprise to see it.

You and the camera have done well with the light contrast here. Film has caught the autumnal colours well.

Thanks. There is just enough shadow detail on the shaded side of the shed. As ever, there is a bit more on the print than the scan.

I liked the look of the scene when I was there and luckily it translated into a photograph better than I thought it would.

I haven't been over to Newtown this year Steve, so was unaware that the rickety bridge had eventually given way. It was full of character, which I recall was somewhat mischievous when damp!

The film has done well to resolve the contrast range in this scene.

I think this new bridge is going to need at least thirty years to get the old ricketty character the previous one had.
