Couple 2, Hong Kong 2008

Couple 2, Hong Kong 2008

Did a series of photographs recently (this month) in Hong Kong. I made the photos with Tri-x, a Leica M6 and 50 mm lens and developed in Rodinal. I hope to do more work in the future in this style with this camera.

The photo has been printed with competence. That having been said, personally I find the photo to be visually complex and scattered. I find myself disliking this photo. I do not feel there is anything that can be fixed, but you did not take the photo for me. You took the photo for yourself. How do you feel about this photo?

I find this fascinating, the main subject is a perfect picture of a mature relationship, however in the background, there appears to be a brand new relationship happening.

Quite interesting.

Mick.

I am facinated by this image. I like the story with contrast in mood between the two couples, the elder, sad couple in the forground and the younger, embracing couple in the background. For me the person at the right side and to the left on the beach disturb this story. A facinating oportunity that few moments later had given a better picture from my view.
