I was in downtown Los Angeles and this little girl kept running away from the photographer. The mother was going crazy. It was hilarious. Please tell me how i can improve, as this is quite crude
A photograph tells a story.
First you need to know what story you want to tell.
Second, you are too far. Get closer to your subjects. A telephoto won't do....
Work on doing more than taking a photograph of "something". The whole frame is the photograph. Try to have the whole frame as a visualization. Good effort. This kind of photography is difficult.
One technique I used to help with full frame shooting is to use a filed carrier when printing and show the entire lightened area. You see the edges of the sprocket holes, which is a cool effect, but by limiting your cropping you can train yourself to use the entire frame. In portraits it really doesn't hurt to be so close that parts are cut off.
