Peyton Colony - Maya

Went out to Peyton Colony, a small ghost town near Blanco, TX.
Poured a few wet plates.
I set the 8x10 up to shoot this. Wet back to the truck, poured the plate, sensitized it, loaded it into the holder, went back to the camera, and my dog Maya was sitting in the doorway. She managed to hold still long enough for me to photograph her.
Location
Peyton Colony, TX
Equipment Used
8x10 camera, 10x12 London Brass lens
Exposure
2 sec wide open
Without the dog, it would be a beautiful print. With the dog in the frame, it is a beautiful photograph.

This seems to be a perfectly poured plate, quite beautiful and yes, the serendipity of your dog makes it. Good dog!

Matt, this may be your best wet plate image yet. Your dog rocks!

Cool Matt. That is just awesome that Maya got in there. Especially where she decided to lay down! It's a beautiful plate.

I'm with Scott, Matt - the fact that Maya is in this just nails it down.

Agree with Kerik, too...this IS your best wet plate thus far and Yes Kerik - Maya Rocks (most of us want to know where Maya is when we meet up - heck we can talk to Matt anytime, but we Love seeing Maya)

Very nice Matt. Maya must be very sweet, neither of my two dogs would be calm enough to stay.
Ike

Wonderful image, and your dog was ready to help: I can almost see another dog's face in one of the boards below the window.
