my first roll of film 2 of 2

Never really did anything until last year with a camera except a snapshot here and there. Last year I found this odd looking camera at a yard sale which was a Mamiya c33. Owner said if like the camera I really would enjoy this other stuff. At the time I really didn't know I was buying a camera, and essentially a complete darkroom complete with some expired old cans of chemicals and some old film for 75$....So I took the stuff home and read the old kodak darkroom guide that was in his "junk" I then went out and shot off a roll of this expired film. Came home made a makeshift darkroom in my hall closet. Fumbled with the stainless reels in the dark and somehow managed getting the film on the roll. I ruined most of the images struggling with the film and this image along with my son are what made it. So here I am man of 38 now firmly hooked on this thing we call film. Thanks for reading and your feedback as I continue to learn this craft.

Congrats to your first home brew! We hope to see some more.
If I'm not mistaken, Panatomic is now Kodak Tmax.

Thanks for sharing!

a wonderful portrait you'll both always cherish. How are you metering..? These look very good!

Great work. You did well to get two great images (at least) from your first roll. Obviously you are metering very well.

When I bought the camera it had a chimney finder with meter attached to it. At the time I didn't realize it was even an accesory. The little red C33 manual explained how to set the aperature, shutter speed, and load the film. The rest as they say was a lucky shot. Thank you for the feedback.

Wow, loved your story, and love your photo too. It's very well composed and it's just right in terms of exposure too. Just like a professional or a hobbiest who's been at this craft for years!

Panatomic is NOT Tmax!!

Panatomic is no longer made by Kodak, but you run across it on eBay on occasion. It was the finest grain film they made. I still have a few rolls in my freezer. You can make HUGE enlargements with it.

welcome and really great narrative ... nice photograph .... expired (I call well seasoned) films and at times net some fabulous results such as this ...
Stay busy with that c33 you first attempts seem to bode well what we can expect...
