Interesting image. I wonder how it would change if you darkened the bottom half?

MarkL - I did consider that - and may well still try it - but decided to go for just darkening the bottom corners on this version.
It's not an image I'm 100% happy with as it is and I appreciate your input - that's why it's always useful to post images on here!

It reminds me of an Eddie Ephraums image with the knarled trees. He'd probably have done this light blue or green!
