This a vertical shot taken with my Xpan + 45 mm lens. It looks fine as a print 13.5 x 5.5 inches, but this is a smaller size to suit my scanner.

Thank you everyone for your positive response. I intend to submit the larger version of this print to next month's club mono competition.
@ Graham, I agree that it is very difficult to find suitable subjects to shoot in the vertical format using the Xpan. I think I may have only one other worthwhile vertical shot. I'll post it at a later date.
