Plassey

Plassey

This is a wreck of a cargo vessel "Plassey", which hit the rocks real bad near Inis Oirr in 1960 and got shipwrecked. The islanders rescued the entire crew from the vessel during storm force weather, no life was lost. Years later, the strong Atlantic storms washed "Plassey" ashore to her final resting place well above the high tide mark.

Beautiful. The perspective is captivating and the placement of the two cloudscapes just perfect.

I love the perspective of this photo, and the subject is beautifully framed. Very well done!

I always feel there is something almost supernatural about beached ships. This epitomises that feeling exactly.

I love it
