Can I ask why you would use semi-stand development on this, instead of a more straightforward approach? Just wondering to fill in my own ignorance 8^)

I went out at noon on a sunny day looking for contrasty images that normally I would shy away from. I wanted to experiment with semi-stand to see if it would give me printable negs under difficult light. I had palladium printing in mind as well. I'm new to semi-stand, but that was my understanding of when it might be useful.
