Nicely done indeed. Is this the new Variant 111 or the older one? I could not get the older one to work very well without seriously gritty peppering.

I presume this is the new version (I bought this paper about 6 months ago).
It does have a tendency to get out of control and the blacks explode all over the place. I believe that the additive C in the SE5 can counter this, but this was just a throwaway experiment at the end of a session that I was using another paper. Next time I might add some C and see what happens. The other version I did of this was much smoother (using Adox Vario Classic).

Beautiful light! It's nice to see the neutral tone in a lith print. I'll have to try some Variant.

Has that great snowy softness that I suspect would be lessened in a trad B&W print. The lith effect is so subtle as well. Yes it has a pink tinge but one which still looks right, although it must be nearly impossible to convey this in a narrative description alone.

I have a strong preference for these colours over the regular strong pinks. This is less overpowering. Lovely atmosphere.

Thanks, everyone. There isn't much colour in my liths on this paper so far. Toning brings it up a bit though. The paper is very 'gritty' and can easily run away from you.

The graphic strength of the blacks on the whites make this very eye catching. Nice shot.
