Where's the glass? It has a cold tone on my monitor, which is hardly right for a HOT glass studio, but that could be my largely uncalibrated monitor. The most important ingredient is missing, the artists themselves. What's the focal point? The chair? The oxygen tank? None of it really tells the story of an active glass studio.

It looked very atmospheric as a thumbprint but it looses that when enlarged. I find the burn out of the high lights the most damaging aspect to your photo. More burning in is needed.
Thomas, thank you for the honesty, it is exactly what I wanted.
TEX, I'm just learning to use my new scanner. There is detail in the highlights and on the print, but I did not want to overmanipulate the scan (as this is against forum rules).
This is exactly what I was looking for. Sometimes I don't understand why so many people view images in the critique gallery and don't post their independent honest thoughts. After all, that is the purpose, isn't it?
DJ, I think there's a sensibility that takes place where some people are offended by honest critiques, despite uploading to the critique gallery.
If you really want an honest critique, say so in the details. It helps. I too, think the the critique gallery is where uploads should be getting real feedback as to how successful they are, even if they're terrible.

Frankly speaking, I loose myself in this picture. Actually, I haven't yet found a place to look for and concentrate on its details. The picture seems to have registered quiet a good amount of details, different tones in very close areas and so on, but the highlights are obviously blowing all the content of this picture. I would say that you should burn it and that will eventually bring life and impact to this image, eventually.
