NC Sunrise

Got this shot after four straight mornings of ho-hum sunrises at the beach (Oct2004). Just getting to know "square". Tell me what you think.

I like it a lot. good sens of atmosphere.
Maybe A slide film like Vevia 50 would make the effect even stronger.
 
You're probably right about the slide film. Ihave no experience with it, so it makes me a little apprehensive.

But hey!, What the heck!
 
Love the color. Personally, however, I'd prefer the foreground waves to be either sharp or time-blurred.
 
I agree with you Ralph. Being a newbee, I was just a little hesitant to go longer with the exposure (clutching to my light meter as if it were a safety blanket)...Next time I think I dip my toe in for a second or two...
 
It is a sort of picture that I would love to take. If only I would crawl out of bed to do so. Love the dramatic sky
 
Gotta love the NC shores!!!
For me is really weird to see the sun rising over the ocean, I'm used to the opposite.

Very nice picture, even though a longer exposure could have rendered the waves blurred and maybe a bit more color saturation.
Sunrises/sunsets involve a bit of guesswork in the exposure, but this one seems to be there.
