Great picture of the most amazing place on earth (to me anyway). You;ve really captured the feel and character of the place - peaceful (until the midges rise from the gorse in th3 centre that is!) I've taken a colour shot of a similar angle to this - will post it in the gallery - it doesnt come close to this shot though. Nicely done. - if you're printing these, fancy doing a print swap?

A lovely shot that brings back good memories of visiting here (although less good memories of the fishiing!), as do your other Orkney shots. I really like the way you have restricted the number of stones, but have given them room to breathe. It has been a while since I last visited, but I can see that next year may be a must .......
