Vietnamese Brothel Sex Worker, Cambodia 2003

This woman worked in a brothel in Cambodia that was frequented by Cambodian men. She was Vietnamese and one of the saddest people I have ever photographed. I could not talk to her because she did not speak English or Thai and my few words of Cambodian were not enough. I wish I could have learned more about her. She might be dead by now, not sure. She was on some kind of drugs the day I photographed her.

In 2 images in color you have printed them on the Kodak metallic paper. You have also, I believe printed them to other than a neutral color balance.

Are you satisfied that your reasons for printing them in this manner is well chosen?
 
for scanning I like print on less contrasty paper... but for showing the work I like the Metallic because it adds a feel, a harshness to the images I like...I shot some 4x5 color this last trip... I am eager to see how that looks. Maybe it because I like Cibachromes and Metallic creates something similar.
