Montgomery County, PA 2007

Here is my first platinum/palladium print to go public.

One thing that has been keeping me from making platinums of everything is the complications with burning and dodging for slight adjustments in the print. I have been playing around with torn scraps of tracing paper and a glue stick for making dodging masks. I guess if I were really smart, I would do it on the computer. But the glue stick takes me back to my elementary school days . . .

There is a larger version I just published on my blog.

I read what you had on your blog but I think if a small article on APUG would help alot of us. I have the same problem and I just don't like the fact i need to make a digi negative to make a quality print. and no I will not buy a UV light that shines down on the print in a open air condition. I use a box that keep that cancer light as far away as possible since I live in Florida the skin cancer location of america
again thank you for you insight to this technique.

Long sleeves and tinted safety glasses or sun block will solve the problem with using a point light source like a plateburner if uv rays scare you. Much easier to use when dodging and burning plus much better registration with the use of a vacuum table. If interested I have a nice NuArc 26 -1K for sale. PM me. Nice print Richard.
