My scanner wasn't made to scan negatives, but I scan one sometimes to see if it's worth the time to print in the darkroom. The results can be interesting and often add a kind of vintage look that would be difficult or impossible to do in the darkroom. This photograph was taken in Oliver Springs, TN. The Olga Coal Co. building was seen in the movie October Sky.

It definitely has that vintage look, which I think is a good way to present this image. Well done!

That's a really nice image. I too look forward to the print.
 
I agree, print this one. The composition works well with the format, and if you tone it in a brown toner (deeper than sepia, maybe Kodak Brown, or a home brew perhaps) I think you could capture this wonderful tone. This one really caught my eye - I'd love to see the print.
