Heliflight

Fuelling up (hey, this is probably not according to safety standards, so don't do this at home! ;-))

This picture was not posed, as you might think... I saw him turning his head and thought "shoot!"... unfortunately, I missed the "drunk" fellow in the back, who's actually the pilot inspecting his heli for the next flight, don't ask me how he managed to stand in this pose ;-)... Well, I am not to bothered, still like the pose.
Equipment Used
Minolta Dynax 7, Sigma 28-70 and 70-200
Film & Developer
Kodak TriX 400
I like the shot too, Marco. Here's my two cent's worth: Having the man's face in the background, hidden by your subject's bum, is a bit of a distraction. More troubling is the amputated left arm. The simple solution is to step back a bit, and crop later.

Unfortunately, this is the kind of shot difficult to reproduce a second time. As I wrote, this was an "action" shot, I saw it happening, and Jan was unaware of me shooting, which is always the best thing.

I have a second pic shot just after this one, without the pilot, but it just isn't as good. Jan was aware of me and standing less good, and the light, that I very much like in this one because a passing cloud made it so beautifully soft, was much harder...
