Victor,
There is no such thing as wasted time in the darkroom - even failure is a learning process. I think your work from Venice is quite unique both in atmosphere and format and that you should aim to create a panel of your visit. I would have slight reservations on this one because you have cut the figure's head in half. Otherwise get into that darkroom and get printing.
I wholeheartedly agree that a day in the darkroom is better than most things except holding our little girl and a twisty ride on the old MC. That being said, time is at a premium.
TEX: I was faced with the decision of including his whole head and tilting the whole scene or cutting his head and decided tha since it was a landscape and not a photo of a statue , it would better serve my purpose. Did I succeed?
Many more? hah hah hah...I shot 40 rolls that week...Holga, pinhole 6x6 and 6x9 (zeroimage-awesome camera) 5 or 6 rolls of panoramic 35mm and a few rolls with my trusty Minolta x700.
A lightweight step ladder is a wonderful thing. I saw a guy drop one, scoot up, take a shot and scoot back down, all in a moment in midtown Manhattan one day.
Genius.
