This is a famous view from Kirkby Lonsdale looking out across the river Eden to the Yorkshire Dales. Ruskin thought this to be one of the finest views in England and, by extension, the world - his words not mine. The view was immortalised by J M W Turner whose version of the view looks somewhat different to mine!
I decided to use my 15mm ultra-wide-angle lens on my Leica to capture the wonderful curve of the river Eden. Holding two Lee LD grads in front of such a wide-angle lens proved tricky and only this one of the three frames I took worked and even here you can see slight variations in brightness at the edge of the frame.
