Remarkable what the old folders can do, isn't it. Who restored the Isolette for you? Who ever, they did a good job. Surely you will have many fun hour and image with thisw old horse. Good work!!
I do the restorations myself. I started doing restorations as a retirement hobby last summer. I completely disassemble the cameras, clean, lubricate as required, and make all the appropriate adjustments. I also taught myself (with some great help from various internet sites) how to fabricate new bellows. All of the cameras I've restored have new leather bellows. I don't take in cameras for restoration but just enjoy working on them and getting them to work as they did 50 years ago.
I love it! A wonderful, nostalgic image. I have a number of vintage folders and really enjoy shooting with them. They take one back to those thrilling days of yesteryears!
There are lots of things to like about this image. Our historic buildings are being torn down instead of being adapted. The conversion on this building is unique, but I like the "flavor" attached to it.
